RULES TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE FACULTY OF THE COLLEGE

GENERAL:

  • The entire faculty are to be decently dressed befitting their profession.
  • Wearing executive shoes (black or brown) is desirable.
  • All the records related to a faculty viz., attendance registers, semester plan, lesson plans, assignment notebooks, GATE notebooks, seminar reports, answer sheets (quiz & theory), concerned lab observations & records shall be maintained up to date and properly. Every month the records shall be verified by the principal.

ATTENDANCE:

  • They should invariably obtain attendance of their Students.
  • Attendance particulars of the previous month should be posted in the Master Registers kept at respective HOD before 1st of every month.

COMPLIANCE:

  • Faculty should engage and end the classes in time.
  • They should attend the college in time and should not leave the college before time.
  • They should observe the college dress code i.e., tucked in shirt, wearing shoes & Identity card.
  • Women faculty should wear sarees for the college.

STUDY HOURS:

  • Faculty should not teach during study hours.
  • Study hours are to be ideally maintained by the faculty. 30 minutes is set for silent reading. Equal time is provided for answering questions.

EXAMINATION MATTERS:

  • Question papers are to be submitted for internal/grand test 3 days before the examination date.
  • They should submit the valued answer scripts/marks to their respective HOD within a week’s time from the date of examination.

LABORATORY ISSUES:

  • Every week they should correct the laboratory observations books & records of the students.
  • They should prepare the laboratory manuals with the help of HOD.
  • Full instructions to the students may be given before commencement of the laboratory.
  • They should conduct viva-voce before the student performs the experiment.
  • Their presence in the laboratories for the entire duration (3 hours) is essential.

LESSON PLANS:

  • The Weekly and Semester/Year Plan must be submitted to their concerned HOD.
  • The regular progress of teaching and coverage of syllabus may be reported to their HOD in Departmental Meetings.
  • Academic Dairy may be submitted to the HOD every week.

CASUAL LEAVES:

  • 15 days of Casual Leave may be availed in a calendar year (January to December)
  • Prior permission must be obtained from HOD & Principal and alternate arrangement should be made.
  • Permission through phone can be obtained, only in extraordinary and emergency circumstances.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • They should advice the students to adhere to the college dress code i.e., tucked in shirt, wearing shoes and Identity card.
  • Encourage the students to actively participate in various Technical Paper Presentations and to participate in Seminars.
  • Guide the students to carry out the Mini Projects.
  • Scrutinize the papers of the students to be submitted at National Level Competitions.
  • Laboratory staff in-charges are totally responsible for the maintenance of lab equipment.
